Belo Medical Group Facial Treatment Experience

I do not really have a problematic skin except the tiny uncontrollable pimples on the forehead during puberty stage. As I previously mentioned, I also do not normally take care of it – I just leave my pimple alone when I get them especially during red days and sometimes I do not wash my face after a day of makeup/sunscreen. HAHA Gross, right? However, recently, as I turned 24, I noticed my skin becoming duller and some lines, warts, milia, and tiny bumps are now appearing. I also had a breakout when I started to take Biotin for my hair fall. It’s not really drastic but it is noticeable when I apply my makeup. I don’t have a good base anymore. My skin felt very dry and oily at the same time.

Deciding Where To Go

I did my research on how to get rid of them. However, I was too scared to try out new products as it may worsen my skin if it doesn’t work on me because I’m not sure what my skin type was. So, I finally decided to visit a dermatologist to have it checked. People may judge me or say I’m “maarte”. I know I said it was not drastic but it’s my skin and “prevention is better than cure”. I was not sure where to go until I read about Belo Medical Group. This medical clinic is usually known in the Philippines where celebrities have their skin maintained and get plastic surgeries or what we call “retoke”. They are a known and trusted clinic so I decided to visit them.

I was hesitant at first as I was expecting that I might need hundred thousands of pesos just to have my skin checked. HAHA. I finally went to their website and asked about their services through live chat (they are very responsive, by the way). They immediately assisted me in setting up an appointment. I thought it’ll cost thousands but I was honestly surprised when I learned that their consultation costs P600. After they confirmed my preferred date/time, I immediately received a text message and email with my appointment details. I chose the Belo Medical Group branch in S Maison. The day before my appointment, I received another text to remind me and I just need to respond for confirmation.

My Belo Medical Group Clinic Consultation

When I arrived at the clinic, I was immediately assisted and was required to update my details and take a selfie for their records. I was made to wait just for a bit for the doctor to be available. When it was finally my turn, the doctor asked details about my concern and checked my skin. This is when I finally confirmed that my skin type was normal to oily or combination. She confirmed that I have blackheads, whiteheads and closed comedones hence, the tiny bumps on my face. A product I just started using also irritated my skin.

In Belo Medical Group, you can’t just look into their services and pinpoint what treatment you would like to undergo even if it’s only a facial treatment. You need to consult with one of their dermatologists first and they will advise what treatment is best for your skin. My doctor prescribed products and a plain facial cleaning for my condition. I thought she’d recommend some of their facial treatments with medications but she advised that we’ll start with plain cleaning so that I won’t further irritate my skin. Other than that, she said that my condition is really not something to worry about. I just need cleaning at least once a month and be consistent with my skincare regimen.

During My Treatment

Now, this is the most stressful and exciting part, the facial treatment! The aesthetician who performed the treatment asked only a few questions about my consultation and then there was just a “comfortable” silence throughout the procedure which I appreciate. HAHA! She steamed and washed my face, then went on with the extraction. This is my first time and I already read that extractions were painful. I think the lavender scent that she made me inhale at the beginning of the procedure did have a calming effect. I wanted to sleep but I also can’t because of the sudden pain every time she pricked my face. LOL. I have a high pain tolerance but I rate the pain for 7/10! LOL. Or maybe because it was my first time? We’ll see.

When the treatment was over, she showed me a tissue with all the impurities she removed from my face. I was so surprised that she was able to remove loads of gunk from it and was able to prick pimples that I can’t even see in the mirror! Yuck! After the treatment, comes the laser which helps tighten the pores to prevent post-facial breakouts, the toner, and a sunscreen. I believe she also applied a cream that my doctor prescribed before putting on the sunscreen.

Verdict

After a very intense experience with the facial treatment, I proceeded to the cashier for payment and purchased SOME of the products prescribed. I did not get everything as some are a bit expensive so I want to try it first. They also gave me a Belo Medical Group privilege card but it’s more of a rewards card. You receive points in every non-surgical treatment you avail. You’ll also be able to receive offers, perks, promos and be notified of events.

Belo Medical Group Privilege Card (excuse the dirty fingers) HAHA

I’ve read from the others that Belo Medical Group will immediately offer to set up your next appointment after your treatment but I was disappointed that this was not offered to me. They also did not advise me on how to properly apply the products that I just bought. As an introvert, I have a fear in asking questions so I was expecting an offer. HAHA

Overall, their services were great. Their staff was very accommodating when we entered the clinic. Everything went on smoothly and there was no long waiting times. My doctor was very kind to ask if me I have other questions during my consultation which I immediately replied “NO” in panic. HAHA. As for the treatment, my aesthetician was very thorough with the cleaning. When I checked my face when I got home, my nose felt very smooth and all the blackheads/whiteheads already went to filth heaven. HAHA

As for my skin condition, I will definitely write a separate post for an update soon. If you want information on Belo Medical Group’s services, you may visit their website to speak with one of their consultants through live chat or just call their hotline.

So, who touches yours? πŸ˜‚

There are different treatments that the doctor will recommend depending on your case but the minimum is P1,800 per session plus P600 for consultation. However, prices may have changed so I suggest asking for the updated price through their chat service on their website.

The prices and the range of the products depends on what the doctor will prescribe. πŸ™‚ I would suggest contacting them for further information on the prices.

Hi! Mine was a regular facial because my face was irritated at the time. The doctor will assess your skin first before recommending what type of facial service suits you.

Hi, wondering lang po, and probably the weirdest question, nagbigay po ba kayo ng tip sa nag cleaning ng face niyo? And if yes huhu hm po yung range? Giving tips actually scares me kasi huhu because too shy to approach ppl and give them money that might not meet their expectations. Lol
