I always had straight, dull hair. Even if it’s straight, it was very frizzy and never looked healthy. I once had dry colored hair when I was in high school. Then, I dyed it back to black, left it as it is and never touched it again. I haven’t used any hair damaging products anymore. I also didn’t go through any salon treatments. But even if I left it untouched, my hair stayed dry and frizzy.
I never had a shampoo that I really liked before. It seems that nothing really works well with my hair. When Tresemme launched their products here in the Philippines, I was still in college so I thought it was really pricey and had never thought of buying it.
Thankfully, Tresemme released a travel-sized shampoo and conditioner from their Smooth and Shine line for only P99 (I think? Not sure…) and I, of course went ahead and gave it a try! As per their website, the formula of this variant is light enough for daily use and has advanced smoothing system which is enriched with Moroccan Argan oil. Sulfate is a very common ingredient on shampoos. It is usually the cause of frizz and damages colored hair. Good thing, Tresemme has low sulfate content.
I immediately gave the product a try once I got home. After using the shampoo, I instantly felt the difference! The shampoo lathered very well on my hair. After rinsing it, it felt clean, smooth and tangle-free. The scent was also a plus for me! As for the conditioner, I initially used it from root to tips and it felt amazing.
At the end of the day, the scent didn’t last that long but my hair still felt so smooth and tangle-free. Also, I’ve noticed that the frizz lessened. However, my hair felt greasy at the roots. I discovered it was due to the conditioner. Since then, I only used conditioner on the ends of my hair.
Until now, Tresemme is still my favorite hair product and is what I currently use. I noticed drastic change on my hair after using this for almost 3 years, I guess. It was not dry and frizzy anymore and I had minimal to zero split ends. Isn’t it amazing? I have also tried their Keratin and Repair Split variants and both did well on my hair too.
I still suggest to exfoliate your scalp once in a while though, to avoid product build-up while using this. You can do it once a week. It helps a lot in removing dandruff, oil, dirt and dead-skin cells. Exfoliating makes your hair clean and healthy: it can also help in hair growth. Also, make sure to have regular trimming to reduce breakage and split ends.
Overall, this brand is awesome! I swear by it after years of using. My hair is now healthy although it is still as straight as it ever was. HAHA. I have tried to curl it using curling irons to add volume but it just returns to its original state. But atleast I have no issues with my hair now. That is all I’d ever ask. Thank you, Tresemme! 😀
You can purchase Tresemme products at any Watsons branch or even purchase it online at Zalora. You may also visit their website or Facebook page.
