As I previously mentioned, I love online shopping. I got addicted to just ordering online and wait for it to be delivered in my doorstep. So convenient for a lazy person like me. So I got excited when I was given the chance to try out another online shopping site – Gearbest.

This 2019, Gearbest decided to open their doors and extend their business in the Philippines. They offer a wide range of premium to affordable products. I was lucky to be able to try out one of their item first-hand.

Gearbest also claims to respond to customer inquiries quickly although I haven’t personally tried it yet. I never had any issues with the item I received so far. As for now, they answer queries through tickets. Although, I hope they’ll have a chat option for immediate assistance in the future. 

I’ve checked their Warranty and Return policy and it was pretty impressive as they offer a 45-Day Money back guarantee and a 1-year warranty for most items.

What is Stylebest

Gearbest also has a dedicted website for trendy fashion needs – Stylebest. It’s still under Gearbest but it’s more focused on fashion and accessories.

Gustala Pro Curling Iron

The product that I was able to try was the Gustala EPS368A Pro Curling Iron. It is affordable and you can get it on their website which is currently on sale for only $9.90(regular price is $22.91).

The curling iron has 4 heat settings and a heat resistant glove included in the box. The glove is to protect you when holding the cool tip while working on your hair. I tried to use the highest setting which is 220 Degrees Celcius and it instantly gave me nice curls.

Gustala claims that their curling iron is perfectly safe on your hair.
I would suggest using heat protection spray beforehand just to be sure. I am very conservative when it comes to my hair so I won’t take the risk.

Honestly, I’m still struggling in using this device. I’m still practicing so I apologize if I can’t show you a picture with my curled hair. LOL. I’ve had several iron curlers before that costs more than this. However, I’m happy to say that Gustala worked on my stubborn stick straight hair. Yay! 

Overall Experience

For the shipping experience, I was impressed by how fast my item was delivered considering I am located in South Luzon. The courier who handled my delivery was Black Arrow. I also received a text message beforehand to notify me that they will deliver my package within the day. 

We already have tons of existing online shopping websites here in our country. However, I still think Gearbest has potential and would be a great addition in the Philippine market. Their wide range of products plus good customer service will definitely be a hit to those who love online shopping.
