I’ve mentioned from a couple of previous posts that Happy Skin was one of my favourite local brands here in the Philippines and it still is! I especially love their lipsticks. So I immediately went to their website when they announced that they’re releasing the Happy Skin Honeymoon Glow Collection!
The Honeymoon Glow was initially just one of their lipstick shades which everyone loved. It became one of their best sellers so it was really exciting when they released a collection. I honestly did not purchase any of their honeymoon glow lipsticks before because I’m more on bold colors but the collection is just something I couldn’t resist.
The Honeymoon Glow Collection Set
One of the products that Happy Skin added to the Honeymoon Glow Collection is the All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette Honeymoon Glow Edition (P1,099.00). I love warm orangey colors as eyeshadow and I know I’ll be using these most of the time. It feels like summer even though I hate summer with its summer heat but I love summer makeup looks. What? Anyway, this did not disappoint. The shadows are pigmented, buttery and easy to blend. The downside, I don’t know, the packaging? I like the cardboard packaging as it helps protect the shadows from breaking if accidents happen but I hope they’d put on a mirror instead of the tips on how to apply the shadows.
Now, my favourite from the Honeymoon Glow Collection is their Feeling Sculptacular Face Contour Kit Honeymoon Glow Edition (P1, 299). The contour shade, I think, is perfect for most skin tones. I have their first Feeling Sculptacular Face Contour Kit and don’t get me wrong, I still love it but I think the Honeymoon Glow Edition is better. From the matte white highlighting powder on the original version, this version has a shimmery champagne-colored highlighter. I love it! It’s so smooth and it’s buildable so you don’t have to worry about putting too much.
Next from the collection is the Kissproof Lip & Cheek Tint in Honeymoon Glow (P399). This is perfect for just an everyday look. The consistency is watery and you can build up the color. My lips are very pigmented(thanks to my dad’s genes) and some lip colors are not visible on my lips. However, this applied well on me – I just need to build up the color with multiple swipes. The downside is that this only lasted for about 2-3 hours so I need to retouch once in a while which is a hassle because I normally don’t retouch when I go out. However, the staying power of the product as a cheek tint is very impressive. I have combination skin and this did last the entire day with a little fading throughout the day.
Another new product that Happy Skin added to their Honeymoon Glow Collection is the Express Gel Polish 2-in-1 Base + Color in Honeymoon Glow (P249). As with their other gel polishes, this lasted a long time without any chips on me – I think 3-4 days. I also looove the color as it compliments my skin tone. Just be careful as it dries up quickly so you need to apply that gel polish with haste!
The last item I got from the collection is the Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Honeymoon Glow (P649). This is indeed a best seller! This compliments my skin tone very well and I think it compliments every Filipina skin tone as well. I previously wrote a review on some of their moisturizing matte lippies and this has the same formula. I don’t see it as total matte but demi-matte. The downside is: this particular lipstick shade only lasts for about 3-4 hours on my lips so I need to have it with me all the time just in case I have the strength to do a retouch. HAHA I also noticed that the formula is a little bit drying on my lips than the other moisturizing matte lippies I’ve tried.
Verdict on the Honeymoon Glow Collection

Happy Skin is a bit pricey for a local brand but I think most of the products from the Honeymoon Glow Collection is worth your money. Their products were formulated to be good for the skin hence, the name of their brand – Happy Skin. Overall, I’m loving all the products from the collection and I think it is worth your money. Oh, I also received two brushes as freebies when I purchased their Honeymoon Glow Collection Exclusive Set – Palette (P2, 398). I can say that it feels sturdy and looks so posh with their gold handles. I recommend getting the contour kit and the eyeshadow palette if you’re not keen on getting the whole set. I’m pretty sure these are the products I will definitely grab for an everyday look!
